PRIVACY

Your data on this website

The contact form asks for your name, email address, optional company name and website, interest, and message so the Surftrack team can respond. Please do not send passwords or sensitive personal information.

How the form works

The website sends your submission over HTTPS to our server. Resend, our mail-delivery provider, forwards it to contact@surftrack.io, hosted at Tuta. The contact application does not save message bodies or email addresses to its database or application logs. Copies are retained in the receiving mailbox and may be processed or retained by the mail provider.

Abuse prevention

The server uses a short-lived, hashed representation of your connection address to limit requests. These records live in memory for up to an hour and are cleared when the application restarts.

Minimal website analytics

We use our own Umami instance on the Surftrack Hetzner server to understand page visits. The tracker sends the page path, page title, and website identifier. Query strings, URL fragments, referring-page URLs, form fields, and custom user identifiers are not sent by our tracking code. We do not enable session replay or automatic interaction tracking.

Like other requests to our server, analytics requests include network information such as an IP address and browser user agent, which Umami processes to produce visit statistics. Cookieless analytics does not mean no personal-data processing.

The tracker sets no analytics cookies. If your browser enables Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, our page does not load the tracker or send pageviews. Local previews are not tracked.

External content

Fonts and illustrations are served by this website. Visiting other services linked from the page may involve different processing.

Surftrack tracking debugger

This site runs Surftrack’s local debugger. It saves page paths, timestamps, visible time, scroll milestones, click counts, named actions and form submission states in this browser’s localStorage for up to seven days (up to 100 visits and 500 events). It does not include form contents or URL query strings. These debugger events stay on your device; they are not sent to a Surftrack collector. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable the debugger. Run surftrackDebug.clearJourney() in the browser console to clear its history.
